Insulting in your sleep

My drewface is the sweetest guy! ... unless he's mad... or asleep.

Yes. Asleep.

I first realized this when we were dating. we fell asleep at his mom's house on the couch. We'd done this a few times and he almost always woke me up at 2 in the morning to take me home. I woke up around 12 and wanted to know whether we were really going to stay there that night so I could sleep without worrying he'd wake me up, or if we should just leave then since I was already awake. 

So I gently nudged him a few times asking the question and finally he turned to me and yelled at the top of his lungs so the whole house heard 

"ARE YOU RETARDED!?" (if that offends you i'm super sorry.. I'm just quoting..)

he then continued to sleep and I started nervously laughing and eventually took it to mean we were going to spend the night sleeping on the couch. 

In the morning, he had no recollection of this sleep insult.

He often just gets ornery and starts yelling that I shouldn't be so mad at him if he falls asleep during a movie because he's tired because he's worked so hard so I should chill the freak out.. which is true except i'd woken him up gently and nicely because I was not upset or mad... he's just a little insane.

sometimes he yells, sometimes he insults and usually they are either funny or weird. Whenever porter wakes him up at night (which with the nightmares or whatever has been happening to him lately has been at least once a night) he in a sickeningly hateful tone says things like "that kid is so horrible" or "he's pissing me off so bad" or "he's such a freakin brat this is getting so old" which he never remembers in the morning, nor does he ever say when he's awake. It's a good thing I get up cause I'm a peach at night :)

anywhoo... the whole purpose of me revealing my little marriage quirk is what happened last night.( oh! He's also super hoggy like with the blankets and bed aka I get up to get porter and when i've put him back down I can't get back in bed because drew's turned over and taken my spot while still occupying his side... it's annoying and i'm not nearly strong or brave enough to shove him... it's a careful business...) I swear if I didn't love to cuddle or be near him we'd have separate beds :)

SO last night he ended up sleeping sideways and my legs were falling off the bed so I asked him to straighten himself, 

he called me a brat and told me I needed to shave my legs. 

It was by far the funniest thing he's ever said while sleep insulting.

I just thought i'd share that little piece of gold before I woke him up for church and told him again how crazy he is when he sleeps. :)

Pain

Today I was awoken by a sharp constant pain in my lower stomach.

it felt strangely like a contraction.

a long hard never breaking or ending contraction

the only difference was my uterus does not take up my whole body but it was pretty obvious where the pain was being felt.

it was hard and painful and I found myself trying to breathe through the pain

Drew had worked until very late last night so I really didn't want to wake him

but then just as I thought it couldn't get worse

it did

and then it got worse and worse and worse

I woke drew with my sobbing and told him I was going to try and get in some hot water

I ran my tub (while I was doubled over) and climbed in and honestly I can't describe the degree of pain..

to be completely honest 

it felt like either I was having a misscariage or my Iud had gone though my fallopian tube and ruptured something

but there was no blood so I was baffled.

something in my head said to me

"you either need a blessing right now or you need to go to the hospital right NOW"

side note: for those of you who don't know. the worthy men in our church are given the priesthood and have the ability to give blessings. Usually for a blessing of healing you're supposed to have 2 priesthood holders present I think... but we had no time and I'm sure heavenly father understood.

Drew got dressed and gave me a wonderful blessing in which I was told that the pain would subside slowly and that it would leave no long term effects.

 (and also how i was doing a wonderful job at being a mom to porter)

Immediately afterwards the pain was lessened. It still hurt and if I got out of the fetal position it would all come back. slowly but surely it started going away.

Porter woke up and even though it felt like I would probably horribly injure myself I stood up and went to his room and just crawled in his crib (yup I'm awesome like that)

I curled up next to him while he crawled over me 

and then eventually I was ok enough to take him out and make him breakfast

then I was fine

my muscles are pretty sore

but I am so thankful that I have such a wonderful husband who holds such a wonderful power

(it's ok if you don't believe in it, but I sure do)

I was also going to throw in there that pain is so weird because it can be mind blowing and make you scream out and cry and moan and once it's gone it's this weird memory almost like it didn't really happen.

Last Night

Drew woke me up in the middle of the night.. probably somewhere around 12:30 to 1 in the morning. His hand was on my tummy and he was freaking out. When I asked him what he wanted he said that the second i started talking it stopped. He then continued to tell me that porter was moving like psycho crazy amounts in my stomach and it wasn't just kicking, it was lots of rolling around doing somersaults and things like that. he said his hand on my stomach went from being flat to a full cup-shaped curve many times. I don't know how on earth I didn't wake up...and i really have a hard time imagining him moving THAT Much.. i mean there are times when I'm laying down forever and i don't talk to anyone because drew is at work and i can feel him moving quite a bit but I've never felt him move the way drew was describing it...

Sledding the Sinks

Well looky here! I'm actually going to post pictures of us again! Our lives have been so calm lately regardless of  the chaos (funny story i used to pronounce it cha-hos) that seems to surround us at all times.  Drew started school last week and he's already a sluffer! Granted I'm pretty sick today so he stayed home to keep me company (even if that means that he's playing x box next to me on the couch and turns over kisses me asks me how i'm doing every 10 minutes then goes back to playing) I love him :)

My pregnancy is flying by! I'm sure that when it gets closer to the end i'm going to be begging to get this baby out but right now i'm really happy with how things are going! I love to write my weekly baby blog so i can find out how big baby is and find out what amazing things he/she is growing ! I honestly feel pregnant now and i drive drew crazy because i keep saying "are you sure i don't look any bigger? my tummy feels so tight!" he rolls his eyes, smiles and tells me that it's good that i feel pregnant but i'm not going to look it any time soon.

So at the very beginning of January Drew's family all headed up to the sinks (it's up logan canyon and it's a great place to go sledding as long as you don't hit the giant dangerous holes in the ground that are at the bottom at some places) Drew's immediate family didn't come with us because they either had to work or his parents had to drive down to southern utah to help his grandparents who were stranded and his grandpa was REALLY sick. We're sooooo glad grandpa is doing ok now :)  Anywhoooo. His uncles and aunts were there along with his Best friend Matt. I didn't sled so there's no pictures of them actually going down ha ha ha but we have some cute ones of everyone chilling around Uncle Aaron's Tent Trailor, Scenery, and my favorites... you will see those first. and Laugh your head off because it is not often i can catch drew showing his crazy personality in front of anyone besides me :)

Ok the story is drew didn't have a snow suit except for this one... which was his dad's a long long long long time ago :)

2 years

I've talked about drew a few hundred times on here but here goes one more

Today is our 2 years of "officially" dating. I have loved every single day (even the days we fight) and I am so eternally grateful for the amazing things he does for me. Every night no matter what he wakes me up when he gets in bed and keeps me up for an hour no matter how grumpy I am. He is more patient durring this time because... well he has to be. He keeps me up because he wants to talk about our day. Can i just tell you how darn irresistable it is to hear the cute little words "i just wanted to hear about the things you haven't told me yet" are after you've just groaned that you hate being woken up?

He's amazing.

I look forward every work day to the lunch he brings me because after i'm done eating i lean over in the car against his chest and he just holds me.

I love him so much and I really will never ever be able to fully express the joy he brings into my life even when i fight the smiles :)

Two of my Favorite Blessings

This picture was taken on December 10, 2007 It is our DTR (define the relationship) and this is the day that drew and I officially became "boyfriend girlfriend."

I can't beleive that we've been together for 2 years now and I love it more than anything else!  He is honestly a blessing to be because no matter if i'm mad at him or mad at the world he tries so hard (sometimes too hard (: ) to make me smile again.

I have this thing where if somene tells me i'm going to smile or i can't smile or anything like that i turn into a two year old that gets this cheesy grin on no matter how much i don't want to be smiling and drew knows it.

It drives me crazy when i'm actually angry and he makes me laugh but when I'm not fuming and I look back on it there is no way to express how grateful I am to him.

This is my favorite picture from the wedding. I was late to the wedding and stressed out from getting ready as fast as i could. It was a horrible start to the best day of my life but drew instead of getting impatient was just worried about me.

Brock our amazing photographer was able to catch him waiting for me to be ready so we could get married and you can just see the emotion on his face.

I am eternally blessed from having this wonderful man in my life.

Drew works long hours and they live 2 doors down. I was finding myself in a sort of depressing state when he would go away and I was starting to feel like i had no friends when Keri and I started talking more.

first off I love Keri and Isaac. I really do. they are the 2 most wonderful people i have ever met and I have the honor of calling them my good friends.

Isaac works a lot but when he is home he always welcomes me in like it's normal even though I know that having some girl over all the time is probably not always the most convienent thing for them. Keri is just as wonderful because no matter what she always looks happy to see me. I love getting closer to her and i'm really finding an amazing best friend in her that I don't know how i ever lived without.

Now the girls. man that house would not be the same without them. Kenzie is always making me laugh and is so darn smart! and Chloe... sigh.. i love that little girl! She is starting to talk so she'll just pick something up, walk over and say "LOOK!"

I really don't know how I can describe the smile that they both have and it just melts my heart.

Kenzie turned to me the other day and said "Sam, I love you"

I melted over her and said "I love you too Kenzie"

as if that wasn't enough she then looked at me looking completely taken aback and asked "REALLY??? YOU LOVE... ME??? "

Over the Last Month and a little more

Well let's start with halloween Quickly :) I didn't do a whole lot because Drew had work and we have but one vehicle BUT one thing i want to share was the pumpkin I carved. It took me a good 3 or 4 hours from start to finish but it was completely worth all of the stress!

Next wonderful thing that happened was Thanksgiving Day. Now don't underestimate how wonderful all of november was, but I just frankly don't have the time or space to write every funny story...

Drew has been talking about not getting a duck stamp next year because he has been going and going and hasn't been able to get anything! it's been driving him nuts and it's been using up a lot of time where if he had gotten anything it would have been worth it but it's just been him wandering away from me and coming home without anything.

Thanksgiving it finally paid off! Drew got a duck that was crazy awesome! It had teeth on it's bill and everything!! you don't believe me?? click on the picture of it's head close up and you'll see!

I wasn't happy that drew made me touch a dead bird.... not happy at all. I'm actually not all that happy that he killed a little animal but it's his favorite thing so i'll let him have it :)

I'm ashamed to admit that we did put our christmas tree up before thanksgiving....

But i'm acting like we didn't and putting the pictures after thanksgiving just to make it seem like that never happened.

Our little tree is so cute!! It's our first Christmas as a Married Coupple (and our 3rd Christmas together can you believe that???!!)

Drew has this thing where he wants to get a new ornament every year to represent us.

Since drew works at gossners with the milk that gets delivered we call him the milk man

so what did he get??

Now we had Kyle and Angie and Aspen over for Dinner the other night and Drew being a sneak got into his christmas presents and wore this shirt which i love. So here is this picture to one show you my usual aspen picture, and two show you how crazy amazing it is that this shirt brings out his green eyes :)

He's basically the most gorgeous man of all time.

And Last but never ever least is the story of the Aggie Basketball Vs. BYU Game.

I got off  work at 12 and went home and got ready. Drew and I got up to the line at 1 pm. We were able to spend time with some awesome old friends from high school (it turns out that one of my friends from school Curtis and one of Drew's good friends from school, Derrick are cousins! it's a small world after all) So after 6 Hours of waiting in line, and of course watching the line ahead of me get even bigger because some people are just lazy and make their friends wait in line so they can basically screw over everyone else that was waiting hours longer they opened the doors. Now you had to squeeze in through the crowd and i'm so lucky i'm so small because i barely made it in. I lost drew but we decided that we'd rejoin when one of us found good seats. One problem... there were none. everyone was saving or just crammed full. I finally found drew yelling at this group of people saving seats (he was yelling i was crying by this point) and then when we turned around ready to leave out of pure frustration (and complete stupidity) we saw a mirracle... there were 4 seats just open on the 7th row up on the side court. We sat down and had the most amazing game i've ever been to and probably will ever be able to experience :) It was gut wrenching the whole game because of how close it was. You had to scream as loud as possible to even hear yourself cheering, and there was one point it the game where i got so upset that i actually screamed so hard for so long without breath that I grabbed hold of drew and held on for dear life while the sight left my eyes and i blacked out for a good minute or so.

Needless to say it was glorious.

You have no clue how loud it actually was in there. and yes. if you think that section is full... there were hundreds of students that were denied because it had reached maximum capacity. i've never seen it so full!

well... hmm. first things first drew went on his little backpacking trip and left me home to mope alone :( but he came home and has been trying to make up for the time so that's been good. i dont' know exactly where his pictures are right now... i'll maybe possibly post them later

next. well um.. yesterday. we went Bananas
literally.

Maceys here in logan is having "the biggest banana display in the world" with 66,000 lbs. of bananas.
so we of course are dumb and bought a giant box full of them!!



ha ha it's all we'll be eating for the next few days :)

but good news!
i am going to have lots of banana bread and i learned how to make a carmel banana glaze for ice cream splits!

Next story.
yesterday as well Drew and I took some pictures with Bre. we couldn't find her camera so she had to make do with mine and mindy's (after my camera died because we hadn't charged it since the backpacking trip) camera's instead.

next week possibly we may be taking more because we lost light and bre said she wanted to do more things. since we're so cute she loves taking pictures of us jk.

one more thing i have to brag about how cute he is.

i read a parents magazine and while yes i am in love with babies i will make it clear that we are not planning or trying for a while! ANYWAYS I read the magazine and fell in love with it and begged drew to let me get a subscription (it was only 12 dollars for three years!!! it's a steal!) and he kept telling me maybe in a few weeks after the bills had been paid. i agreed and got on his back a few more times for fun. well today, he revealed that the reason i couldn't sign up to get it, is because he already did for us! awww!!!

Just for the #$%@ of it!

I, Drew, have hacked into the blogging network of my wife and would like to say that I love her very much! She kept on hounding me about writing in this thing, so today I decided it would be good too. So what should I say? Well, we had a wonderful Bear Lake trip yesterday, but as all sunny lake trips end, I found myself burnt! The funny thing was that I only was without sunblock for thirty minutes. How that works I don't know. But anywho, we went with my brother Preston and his girly girlfriend. It was a blast, but we got kicked off of a private beach and had to go to a swampy free beach. But other than that it was a great trip! So that'll do for today. I don't know how she writes in this thing all of the time. My hands and brain are screaming "uncle". Tchau!

4 Wheeler Accidents and Straight Hair

I always have so much to share! I love writing this blog because it makes me realize that we really do have a lot of fun! When you don't tell anyone or try and think of what you're grateful for, it seems like we don't realize it as much!



Well it was the latest thing to happen but i must show it first :) Drew's cute sister straightened his hair and i won't lie it was kind of cute!



Well we've had an eventful few weeks!


First story was about a week ago. Drew, Preston (his brother) and I all went 4 Wheeling here in Cache Valley and I am not allowed to reveal the location because no one knows about it so we want to keep it that way. It was probably the most gorgeous trail I've ever been on! At first it got too rocky and my borrowed 2 wheel drive 4 wheeler was left on the side of the trail, I climbed up on the back of drew & mine and we kept going. I got a million Pictures but I'll save you and only put up 3 here :) When we got to the top (not the real top just to where the snow started) there were a ton of deer and moose tracks everywhere we immediately thought of Kyle, Drew's other brother. Kyle loves Shed hunting and for those of you who are like i was you have no clue what that is. Shed hunting is going around looking for antlers that have fallen off the animals that shed them. There can either be big money in it or if you're a good guy like kyle you can build things out of them. Well we headed back down and finally got to the other 4 wheeler. I hopped on and started taking that one down. Drew zoomed off in his fancy one and Preston was behind me so he'd stay with me (because I don't think I mentioned this was my first time on my own 4 Wheeler.) Well I started going a little too fast for my taste so i took my last 3 fingers and put them on the brake (like on a bike) but i was too late... I hit a rock in the road jerking my handlebars out of my hand and up on an incline on the side of the trail... the 4 wheeler tilted sidewards and I was falling. I had 2 choices: Grab for the handlebars and possibly pull it on top of me/possibly stop myself from falling, or just roll off and take the hit. I did the second. I rolled off to my left, landed on my back on top of rocks, rolled again over rocks, into a small stream that made up most of the trail at this point of the trip. Preston ran to my side, thankfully I was alright but I was beat up. I got back on, went down the trail (much much slower this time) and of course we didn't see drew for about 10 minutes when he was heading back up the trail to see what was taking us so long. All in all I'm alright I have a nasty bruise on my shoulder, Knee and Leg. My knee was pretty torn up and my back muscles were pretty sore for a long time from landing on those rocks straight on, But I lived and It could have been much worse.

Well I didn't get pictures of the fall or anything but I tried to give you enough detail :)

well next we Had a combined Graduation party for BreAnne and Birthday Party for Preston! Aren't they so darn cute?
Well we also had something else happen, We all spent the night at the Ogden Hospital the other night. Drew's Dad Wendall was having huge pains while he was driving his semi through echo Canyon. So we met them at the hospital, when hooked up to a meter, they told him it was pain worse than labor pains and I personally have never experienced them, but i assume they hurt pretty bad!

Luckily he was okay and I honestly believe with my whole heart that it was on account of the prayers of our friends and family :)

We're so grateful for all of you and I am so excited for today! I get to have my Dad and Step Mom come up and see our house :)

Camping and Kiddos :)

Well you're in for a big one today ha ha ha so much to tell!! We went camping for memorial day weekend and it was SOOO much fun! (even if it did rain the whole time) We drove and drove and finally got to camp (near Afton, Wyoming) and set up our cute tent that Mindy (his mom) gave us for Christmas! Everyone was up there it was so much fun! And by Everyone I mean his grandparents, a few uncles, an aunt, his parents, his siblings, some cousins, and my Niece!!! Aspen is so dang cute!! She's hysterical too because she always puffs out her eyebrows and looks so ornery.. but i also got some of her smiling!! here's a few ha ha cause i love her that much!!!
Well Besides my cute cute niece was our cousin Ethan who just never ever stops smiling and being adorable :) Well! while we were camping we all of a sudden had all the dogs (at this time we only had 4 dogs because most everyone had left) they all started freaking out. we looked back and it was because an ADORABLE boxer had just wandered in our camp. He had on a collar with his rabies shots tag but none others. we didn't know his name or anything. so our aunt Tanya (the one with Ethan on the right) and I went walking around the campground to try and find his owner. we covered the whole area and the only other people to be found were obviously not them because we'd spoken to them earlier and they were from Holland or Sweden or something and did not have a dog earlier. Plus the rabies tag said Afton which is right by where we were. So at this point everyone was really worried about him and whether the owners had just left him. So drew and I jumped in our car while Drew's brother and sister in law jumped in his uncle Aaron's truck with the dog. they covered the campground and we took off to near campsites. well about a mile and a half down the busy highway we spotted a campsite out of the corner of our eye and after finding the one dirt road that led to it we made our way up. as we pulled up, everyone seemed to kind of gather round our car in question. drew rolls down the window and asks if they're missing a dog. they immediately say yes and thank us for finding him. we tell them where our campsite is and they tell us they will be there shortly to pick him up. Well as they start to walk away i of course shout out the window, "what's his name?" Dexter :). My guess of blue was off. Well anyway they came and got him but not before i took a picture of him :) Just pardon the way i look :) this was after not showering for 4 days... blegh.Well that was our amazing camp adventure.
:) Drew and I went to his mom's house last night and he mowed the lawn and was super proud of it ha ha ha ha when he was done he said "SAM get a video of me riding!!" so i did and it's silly and boring but i laugh pretty hard at it!



I also got some cute pictures of Lilly the cat out there. poor thing just had her kitten and it didn't survive... She had 2 kittens last year and the darn neighbors put our poison to keep something out of their shed, turns out the kittens are the ones who were getting in there... we were cheering for her babies so much this year.. and it was a sad ending...


Well one more Report :) We finally got a planter for our backyard :) me being an amazing potter and all ha ha ha jk. we did it together but it turned out really well and I'm just crossing my fingers it'll live! in it we have coleus, inpatients and Begonias. GO US!
