23 Weeks!

Yey! that week went by so fast! but not without some mean tricks my body played on me. So I've had a sore back for a few weeks but it was minor and went away with a little Tylenol.
Then yesterday I woke up feeling a little more sore than usual, still just got ready and went to work. In two hours I went from uncomfortable to in tears as my back just started radiating pain no matter the position I was in. It felt exactly like last time I went to the doctors where she said it was either a torn ligament or a kidney stone. The difference between this time and last time were one, I was able to get in to see the doctor the first day, two, it was on the opposite side, and three, I asked them what to do for the pain.  They were able to get me in a few hours after I called, but I spent that time in a hot bath that just covered my back and not my stomach because I didn’t want porter to be hurt in the process. (it didn’t phase him at all seeing as how he never stopped moving) so we finally got in to see the doctor and she said she was confused because I have all of the signs of a kidney stone, besides blood in the urine. She also checked to make sure I wasn’t having any contractions and also tried to listen to his heartbeat which was kinda funny seeing as how he kept kicking the device she was using. You would start to hear his heart, then he’d kick it so there’d be a loud sound and then he’d move so you’d have to find it again… stubborn little guy.  so she came to the conclusion that it must be my back muscles being traumatized by how big porter is growing, and sent my information over to a physical therapist. I have an appointment for May 4 (in a week) and we’ll see if we can prevent this from happening anymore because man do I hate cringing in pain every time I move.

So Drew and I have been spending time together just being outside before yesterday  and we’re enjoying the sunshine more than ever!

I’m just the same in weight but that’s ok cause I’m still doing pretty good.
So he's as HEAVY as a large mango
at 11 inches and a little more than a pound, no wonder my back hurts ha ha ha.
So he's officially big enough to have a chance at surviving outside if something were to go wrong (heaven forbid) so although they aren't very good chances, there is a chance. He's capable of muscular breathing, but his little lungs just aren't ready yet. his hearing is getting better and better every week and now he's getting used to loud noises like drew's parent's dogs barking or the vacuum or things like that so it shouldn't bother him too much outside. and he's also being soothed by my voice, drew's voice and soft music. although every time i talk he just gets more active so i don't know how that is :)
Also I tweaked the words to a song and drew and i sing it to him at night, which is so cheezy but we think it's cute ha ha and i hope that it relaxes him when he's born because it just makes him that much more active now!
so. He's as heavy as a large mango, so i don't know why the picture but i'll give it to you guys anyways :)
much love!
