I'm so happy to report that yesterday I finally worked out for the first time since Port was born. in all actuality it was the first time since probably december of last year because I only worked out maybe once or thrice after I found out i was expecting. (heck yes I just used thrice in a sentence)
Last night we dropped port off at Mindy's work (she stays late to cleans he office but no one is there so it was no big deal) and headed off to the gym.
I decided that I have no desire to work out my arms since I carry an 11 pound baby all day long, so i focused on my legs, butt and stomach. Most of you will scoff at me but getting as big as I did created a lot of extra skin and I don't know how you get rid of that without time and surgery but working out my stomach at least makes me feel like I did something. Now my thighs and bum got bigger (which now just makes me look like a normal person, not fat) and I did throw away all but 4 pairs of pants. 3 of those pairs I don't fit into (because of my thighs and bum... and probably my hips having to widen to fit that baby through it) and the last pair are getting so worn out they have started to rip UP my leg instead of across it. All in all I worked out for like 30 min and then briskly walked for 30 min. I have to be careful because I'm nursing.. blah I wanted so badly to just run but I don't want to throw my body into shock and stop making milk... that's an expensive consequence for just a few minutes of running. I'll get there eventually.. and i'll be looking up how much I really can strain myself.
but I'm sore and excited to go back today :) yey me!
