oooh Look! Trippy!

I'm writing. Phew. 

My darling Husband is constantly schooling and then going straight from school to work TAKING THE COMPUTER WITH HIM. 

We have one car and one laptop. 

AND when he is home at the same time as me he usually chooses that time to either do homework or look up how to do a certain thing on his xbox game. 

What have YOU been up to? 

I had the craziest month ever. like seriously ever. 

I went to southern utah to see one of my best friends get married without my baby and without my husband. It was awesome and I'm so happy for her! And shame on me I seriously didn't take one picture. I FORGOT my camera at the temple (which is where the wedding occured and NO you can't take pictures inside but you can outside) and then I also forgot it at the reception. BOOOO I'm horrible.

I got home on Sunday. 

Then I unpacked, and then I washed everything and packed again because on thursday that week Porter and I jumped on a plane and flew to California!!

First Drew and I went mini golfing with his family at this ADORABLE mini golf course up here in logan.

Friday we Went to Huntington Beach which was so much fun!! check out these awesome pictures I took. yep I'm awesome.

you see the reason I went to california with my family and without my husband Is my Grandparents (father's parents) live in orange county as well as my Aunt and 2 cousins. 

That friday was my Grandma and Grandpa's 50th anniversary and my Dad and Aunt threw them a surprise party.

They had NO IDEA we were there and it was so rewarding. 

she cried and the first thing she actually said was "and Sammie came too!"

I can't tell you how much I love those two seriously I HATE that I live so far away from them.

Porter was exhausted that day because he had only had a 20 minute nap and we were up forever but he was such a trooper!

Saturday I went and saw a friend who was in california at the same time :)

He had never met porter so that was awesome!

Then we went to an Aquarium at Long Beach which was really fun! I got to touch jellyfish, sharks, stingrays and porter and I touched starfish and anemones!

 I loved that he's old enough to get excited by animals!

 you can't see it but there's a zillion little jellyfish in there and he was just pressed up against that glass trying to see everything!

Drew and I had this thing after he showed me forest gump a year or so ago. we wanted to know if it was a real company. it totally is. so I took this picture for him.

Friday afternoon porter bonded with my grandpa. it totally warms my heart because I love that man to death. he makes my heart feel like it's growing every time I think of him so it meant a lot that he spent some time with porter even though he's usually feeling so crummy.

 Also.. this is Star. she's basically a horse. but she's called a dog.

Sunday we went to Chilli's and had to leave to go home :(

 we then came home relaxed, and took daddy to school. meanwhile I got this awesome picture of my long haired son. (should I cut it or let it grow out?)

Camping and Bear Lake

So drew and I totally went on a spur of the moment mini vacation this week and it was amazing! Monday I went to work from 5:30 (yes in the morning) to 10 and then I decided I wanted to go to bear lake! I had just gotten a swimsuit that covers my ever expanding tummy and i wanted some quality time in the sun. Drew then decided that we should just go camp because he wanted to camp. Well we comprimised and camped near bear lake!  So monday we packed up, drove up, set up everything and headed down to the beach. It was fun but really just too windy so we were only there for like an hour.

His brother preston ended up camping with us the rest of the time which was a blast! We love preston and he's such a stud! see drew loves his baby but really doesn't do all that much in the ways of going easier on his expectations for me. so he asks a lot of a really fat lady not thinking it's a lot, and preston hops up and does it before i can try to stand up. like I said he's a stud!

So Tuesday we got up, made breakfast, and headed down to logan so i could work my noon to four shift, we came straight back up, hung out all night and just had a blast!

Wednesday was my favorite, Drew and I both had the day off work so we took our time sleeping in, packing up camp and we headed out to bear lake! I was so glad to be in the sun that I dug a hole in the sand, stuck my stomach in it and willed my back to tan. I forgot how covered up my back had been up until this point so I ended up getting FRIED like blisters fried because even when drew said i was looking burnt, I told him a little burn is ok. ha. I still can't sleep at night.

Preston made a Huge sand castle with our mop bucket we'd brought to do dishes in, and i ended up making some crazy evilish looking thing... and then they ruined both of them by pouring water nearby, and watching them disintigrate :)

I know this is such a passionless post, ugh I'm rushed but here's some cute pictures :) yey!j

25 Weeks

This week has been nothing but heaven :) Sure i've had back pain and i'm getting kicked everywhere from my sides to my bladder to my ribs, but i've had SUCH a  good week! Saturday Was a heavenly day at the temple with family and awesome friends, Sunday was Mothers day (my first!) and we got to spend the first half with family at my baby cousin Ellie's Blessing, then Drew and I headed down to Salt Lake where we've been on a little mini vacation since. Monday we were blessed with the opportunity to go and see Miss Kylee Moller Become Mrs. Hezseltine in the gorgeous Salt Lake Temple and then get to spend some of the day with them. After That we went to the Dinosaur Museum in Thanksgiving point, Looked at all the dead deer and elk in Cabella's and saw Iron Man 2 on Imax! Today we are relaxing, going to texas roadhouse with my parents for dinner and then heading home to re-join the real world. 

Porter's doing great just rolling and kicking and lovin life :) He love the temple cause he never ever stops moving when we're in there, and it was hillarious last night at the movie because he'd go to sleep and then when there was a loud noise he'd suddenly wake up. 

He's about 13 1/2 Inches long and weighs about a pound and a half ... about the same weight as a rutabaga ha ha who actually knows how heavy one of those is? 

This week He's losing his wrinkly skin a little bit at a time because he's starting to get bunches of fat deposits to fill out . His hair is also growing longer and they say that if i could look at his little head then i could see what color and texture it is! Also His little eyes are open now and he probably blinks occasionally and closes them to sleep. He's also in his little sleep cycles now. there are certain times he is usually more awake and others he's usually asleep which is fun for me because i love learning more about him and knowing those little things about him make me feel just that much closer to him. 

Well i'm so grateful for our cute little man and i'm so grateful that I get to keep my boys in my life forever and ever and ever. You could even say i get them for eternity :)

I Just Realized...

Drew and I are finally taking our honeymoon (i know it's for our year anniversary... well a little after it because our anniversary is during finals week) and we finally have it planned! We're going to spend two nights down in salt lake (sorry family I love you but honeymoons are just for us) and we are going to do a bunch of fun stuff! we're going to swim in the pool, we're going to the zoo, we're going to the temple, we're going to a movie, we're going to kylee's wedding lunch ( ha ha yes we're breaking our honeymoon for that girl because man i love her) and a bunch of other stuff! It's only going to be a few days but it will be so worth it to just take a break and have some relaxing fun!
ANYWAYS
I was looking at the dates while we were planning and oh my gosh i realized that Mothers day is the first day of our 2-3 day vacation and then i realized that

THIS IS MY FIRST MOTHER'S DAY THAT BELONGS TO ME!
to me mother's day has always been about focusing completely on others and now i actually get to have it be kinda about me. I mean he's not here yet, so i don't fully comprehend what it's like to be a mother, but I am starting to get the feelings and i'm so protective of my little one already It's going to be mindboggling once i can hold him in my arms :)

Backpacking and Bear Lake

WELL!!!

drew went on his backpacking trip in the uintas and had a blast! he actually was supposed to be up for saturday, sunday and monday but ended up coming home sunday afternoon! The ranger came and said there was a storm on it's way so he and preston (who were the only 2 left at this point) packed up and headed to get me. they took so many cute pictures but i thought i'd pick a few :)

Well we also were able to go to my annual family reunion at bear lake! it was a lot more scarce than we are used to but we had fun regardless! we went out on the beach i got a bit sunburned and drew as usual put on more sunscreen than was needed to cover a whole elementary school :) jk he needs it with his cute fair skin.

AS tradition calls we all went out on an adventure to LaBeaus a shake shop . I actually worked year at the LaBeaus in logan last year i hated it but man they do make some good shakes!

These cute people right here are probably my favorite of the bunch even though you aren't supposed to have favorites :) Brett and Michelle solberg. Michelle is always so cute and so happy and brett seems to always have a smile on his face as well. I think my favorite thing would have to be that they are just so carefree and happy they light up our day when we get to see them!

I have to say, Michelle got upset durring games one night because of contention that had formed through the cause of one of the nights.
I personally admire her forever. in fact after the next round i got up and drew and i left. anyways. i love michelle. i should try to be like her more often.

well the second day preston and Bre came up to join us and we had a blast i made preston and drew do all these poses fore me because i wanted to play with my camera and this one is so awesome! I still can't believe how tan preston is and how white drew is so them together is always really funny to see! although i do admit i wouldn't trade drew for anything :)

I have to say that i am so blessed to be able to have such an amazing person in my life, and not only in it but playing such a crucial part:) we are so happy and crazy in love and i love our relationship more then anything! I see other newlyweds who are stuck to each others side and they look like they might die if they are separated. I am so glad that drew and i are so happy and so content with each other. i know it sounds funny to say that i'm glad we can operate without each other but i love that we are so dependant on each other but still capable of being independant. It's a great feeling, knowing that they are your partner in life, not just another appendage.

We love each other. forever.
