19 Weeks

I shouldn't get so excited for this week to be over but next week is so exciting!! Drew and I find out what the baby is on April 7 and you guys... well you won't know until a few days after. sorry bout that. . . 

I can't believe how much has been happening just with me and the baby! I mean really That little munchkin has been kicking and flip flopping like crazy and it never ever ceases to amaze me! Drew and I were able to spend Thursday-Sunday Morning down in salt lake with my family and I can't even tell you how much fun I had! oh my heavens it was amazing to see a few great friends and hang out with my family! and seriously that babe was active! My Step-dad, My Mom, My grandma, and Carrie Buckmiller (love her) all got to feel the little one moving around! Also my cute grandma and my  mom took me to Kohls to get some maternity clothes and we found the BEST Deals! We couldn't find any jeans at all which was a bummer but i got some fun sweatery tops that i'll need for like summer nights and still now that it's spring in logan it's still all touchy :) I love them but drew says some of the tops make me look like a grandma, shame on him. either way i'm glad we got them because i guess my belly decided to POP this week! seriously! I mean when i show you guys (probably next week because i can't find my camera) i don't look that huge but i'll put up a before picture too and yeah... you'll be able to tell. 

So we've cleaned out most of the baby room and started getting everything ready for furniture and decorations, and paint, and all that fun stuff! I'm so excited for it to come together and look like a peaceful little sanctuary not just this junky extra room for once! by the way, no one guessed last week whether it's a girl or a boy so you've got about a week left! and just so you all know, it's neck and neck for girl and boy!

I'm finally gaining more weight, i'm pretty much always 110 in the mornings. and i know that's not a huge ammount, but it makes me feel good to see a sign that the baby is growing in there :) 

so We're at 19 weeks, the baby is about 6 inches Head to bum so the length could be up to 8 inches or so from head to toes, and our cute little one is about 8 1/2 oz which is so light but man oh man is it causing some pressure on my back already.

We're up to the size of a  Mango (again that's from head to bum) and man can i tell! It says that baby is probably stretching every time s/he wakes up and man do i feel it sometimes i was wondering what those weird long periods of pressure were :) The oil glands are working hard to coat that fragile skin with vernix which if you've ever seen a baby being born (health class) that's the white stuff that's on the skin it basically protects the skin from the aminotic fluid because being in a giant pool for nine months probably isn't super good on your skin, but the skin is still wrinkly and lose because there still isn't enough fat on that tiny little body to stretch it out.

The restated that the baby can hear our voices now and it's starting to recongnize who's around a lot and who's not. In fact if the dad talks to the baby a lot while it's in the tummy, even a newborn will hear dad's voice and turn to it, not just mom's (doesn't that melt your heart). 

The hair is starting to sprout and grow on that tiny little head so lets cross our fingers that we have a full head of hair growing :)
