Decoration of the Proclamation

for those of you who don't know

Our church has something called 

"The family: a proclamation to the world"

It's wonderful as it lays out a guideline of what we believe the family to be

but that's just an explanation.

What it is is plain looking

while I love the words it really is rather dull to look at. 

so I revamped it.

First I burned the edges without letting it get to the words 

Then I Popped out an old picture from an old unused frame

which I then spray painted black

While that was drying I took the picture and used it as a size estimate of what I need this to be

I then picked out 2 sheets of scrapbook paper and cut the middle to size 

then ripped the edges of one and glued it to both sides to make it long enough

I then ripped the edges of a pass along card (something missionaries/members give to people who are interested in us with the church's number on the back

and glued both the proclamation and the card to the paper

then I popped it in the frame and 

Bam

how awesome does that look?!
